Broken Age
Wil Wheaton Leads Impressive Broken Age Voice Cast
Double Fine has released another update on its Kickstarter funded adventure game Broken Age. This latest release fills us in on the game's voice acting talent.
Most notably, Double Fine revealed that Curtis the Lumberjack, a character that was created to help test animations but quickly became a favorite of the game's Kickstarter backers, is being turned into a full-fledged character. Impressively, Curtis will be voiced by former Star Trek actor and nerd icon of sorts Wil Wheaton.
Veteran game voice actor Masasa Moyo (BioShock Infinite, Halo ODST) has been cast as the game's female lead character Vella. Other experienced actors like Nicki Rapp (Lili from Psychonauts) and Ginny Wescott (Nurse Edna from Day of the Tentacle) have also been cast in unannounced roles.Interestingly "uber-backer" Alex Rigopulos, the co-founder of Harmonix Music Systems, is in the game playing a character "based on his own likeness."
Double Fine also claims to have a "huge" announcement regarding another of the game's voice actors that will be revealed on the SpikeTV's VGX (which is the name of the new re-tooled Spike VGA Awards) on Saturday.
