Akiba’s Trip Undead and Undressed

XSEED Games announced that it is planning to bring the Akiba’s Trip franchise to the West. Akiba’s Trip 2 will release in the U.S. this summer under the name Akiba’s Trip Undead and Undressed.

The game takes place in Tokyo, where vampire-like creatures called Synthisters are sucking the will to live or socialize from the public. Like vampires, the Synthisters are destroyed by direct exposure to the sun. The player’s task is to battle these Synthisters with every-day objects and remove their clothes to expose them to the sun, thus killing them.

The story is centered on a young man named Nanashi, who was transformed into a Synthister, though is apparently spared by a kiss from a Synthister hunter named Shizuku. Nanashi decides to battle against the threat infesting the Akihabara district of Tokyo, and forms the Akiba Freedom Fighters. Akiba's Trip Undead and Undressed will be released on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
