Back To The Future Manga Being Made With One-Punch Man Artist

by Imran Khan on Feb 02, 2018 at 08:15 PM

A Japanese comic, or manga, adaptation of the 1985 mainstream classic, Back to the Future, has been announced, from popular manga artist Yuusuke Murata.

The announcement was made at an event for the movie Ready Player One held in Tokyo on Thursday. Murata, who is likely best known as the artist for the football manga Eyeshield 21 and One-Punch Man, has been teasing the comic for several years but has finally made it official.

The manga will be overseen by Bob Gale, who wrote all three movies alongside director Robert Zemeckis. It will initially be serialized online, with the first physical volume going on sale in Japan on April 20. It is unknown if or when the manga will be available in English.

Fun Murata trivia: As a child, he submitted designs to Capcom for Robot Master contests for Mega Man. In Mega Man IV, the ten year-old Murata designed Dustman. Then with Mega Man V, he won again with Crystal Man.
