Sony Partners With Nike To Introduce PlayStation-Themed Sneakers

by Elise Favis on Jan 21, 2018 at 12:27 PM

Sony recently teamed up with NBA All-Star Paul George and Nike to create some slick-looking sneakers based off the PlayStation's design. The shoe, called the PG-2 PlayStation Colorway, looks pretty cool – whether you're a basketball fan or not.

In a post on the PlayStation blog, Paul George calls the partnership between Nike and PlayStation a "long time coming," and that he's loved video games since he was young. "Just like basketball, I’ve had a knack for video games since I was a kid. When I was 8 or 9, I used to amaze my uncle and all his friends by consistently beating them in all the sports games we’d play."

The sneaker's design includes lights on the tongue of the shoe that illuminate and pulsate to show both the PG and PlayStation logo. On the heel, you can find a PSN voucher code, which gives you a Paul George dynamic theme for PS4 when redeemed on the store. Even the holes for the laces pay homage to PlayStation, with DualShock-themed colors.

The sneakers are available for purchase as of February 10, priced at $110.
