Did You Know Gaming Looks At Donkey Kong Country's Development

by Elise Favis on Jan 14, 2018 at 04:19 PM

Did You Know Gaming, a video game trivia channel on YouTube, has its latest video taking a close look at the development of Donkey Kong Country. This classic platformer debuted on the Super Nintendo in 1994, and is Rare's bestselling game to date.

The video talks about the game's development, including scrapped ideas such as an opening cutscene and more animal companions. Some animals that never made it to the final product include a flying pig, a mole, and an owl. It also discusses some of the difficulties the team faced when remaking the series for Game Boy Advance. You can watch the video below.

Did You Know Gaming recently did a segment specifically on Diddy Kong. You can watch it by heading here. Earlier this week, it was announced that Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will make its way to the Nintendo Switch on May 4.
