Here's The New Gear You Can Earn In Destiny 2's Faction Rally Next Week
The eternal struggle for supremacy over Destiny 2's side activities continues, and players can earn some new loot in the process.
The new faction rally event starts next Tuesday (Jan 16) on all platforms, and runs for one week. Like the previous events, players will head to the tower and pledge their loyalty to either Future War Cult, New Monarchy, or Dead Orbit by talking to each group's respective leader. After that you'll earn faction tokens from most of Destiny 2's ongoing activities: daily milestones, public events, strikes, raids, etc.
Once you've snagged enough tokens, you can cash them in for faction-specific engrams containing the armor pieces from the previous season. However, this time around you can also earn ornaments for those armor sets, which change the look of them. Here's what those look like.

You can also buy some new auto rifles once the event is over. Like previous rallies, members of the winning faction can pick up their auto rifle for dirt cheap, while the others will be forced to pay significantly more. Here are the different offerings:

In addition to the new faction rally, Bungie also announced that a new hotfix going live on Tuesday will remove any Curse of Osiris requirements from Destiny 2's seasonal content, so players who only own the base game will also be able to join the Faction War.
