Path Of Exile Expansion War For The Atlas Announced For PC And Xbox One
Path of Exile: War for the Atlas is the newest expansion to the massively popular free-to-play action RPG announced today by developer Grinding for Gears.
The Atlas, the book-accessible world that makes up Path of Exile’s world and dungeons, is beset by war. The Shaper is battling a mysterious new entity called The Elder. You are caught in the middle and the missions you take and the dungeons you traverse determine who loses and gains ground in the land war.
The expansion adds 32 randomized maps with a host of end-game items, rare items in Shaped and Elder varieties with special properties, six new support gems, and new skills designed to expand and enhance the Necromancer class.
The expansion is going to be available on both PC and Xbox One, with the PC version arriving first on December 8. The Xbox One version launches one week later on December 17. Regardless of where you play it, the main game and all of the expansions are completely free to play.
