Super Mario Odyssey Commercials Show New Footage, And Also A Musical
Nintendo released Super Mario Odyssey commercials in both the U.S. and Japan, with the U.S. one having an extended version that functions as a musical based on the game's New Donk City aesthetic.
Here's the music, which features a CG Mario dancing along live-action performers, and a camera-obscured Pauline singing the game's main theme, Jump Up, Super-Star!
And then there is the Japanese commercial, which is almost entirely footage from the game. Among other new pieces of footage, you get to see what happens when Mario runs face first into a cactus. It looks decidedly painful. Super Mario Odyssey is releasing October 27 worldwide exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
