Collect Star Wars Characters Through Augmented Reality On September 1
September 1 is Force Friday, a day dedicated to buying new Star Wars merchandise, most notably the first batch of toys based on Star Wars: The Last Jedi. As collectors hunt down Luke Skywalker action figures, don't be surprised if you see them posing awkwardly in front of posters. Lucasfilm has created a fun, little augmented-reality app that creates photo opportunities.
When a specific graphic with the "Find the Force" logo is scanned by the app, a character from The Last Jedi will appear in augmented reality. The graphics are scattered throughout different stores, each producing a different character from September 1-3. There are 15 characters in total to track down. If you want to share silly Star Wars photos online, this is your chance!
