Battle Chasers: Nightwar Gets Fall Release Date

Publisher THQ Nordic has announced that its turn-based RPG Battle Chasers: Nightwar will be released October 3 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Based on the Image Comics fantasy title that ran from 1998-2001, Nightwar picks up where the nine-issue comic book series left off. Battle Chasers writer Joe Madureira (whose old studio, Vigil Games, created Darksiders) is developing Nightwar with his new studio, Airship Syndicate.

Our Take
Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a visually beautiful game that will hopefully become something greater than another forgettable turn-based RPG. Also intriguing is the revival of a comic title that's been dead for the past 15 years through a video game. So it'll be interesting if Nightwar can reinvigorate that cult hit.
