Syberia 3 Postponed To Early 2017

Adventure-mystery game Syberia 3 has been delayed until early 2017, developers Microids announced today.

Originally scheduled for a December 1 release, Syberia 3 follows protagonist Kate Walker on a new adventure in the series, which has been dormant since 2004's Syberia II.

Microids Vice President Elliot Grassiano said the delay is due to the development team's decision to add "even more depth" to the game.

"We are aware that fans around the world are eager to embody Kate Walker again, but we need additional time to provide them with an adventure that can live up to their expectations," Grassiano said in a press release.

Benoît Sokal, founder and creative director of the Syberia saga, said the game will feature additional cinematics and narrative sequences, as well as extra voice-over languages, and that more time was needed to complete work on these features.

Syberia 3 will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Mac when it's released next year.
