Square Enix Announces Mobile RPG King's Knight: Wrath Of The Dark Dragon
At TGS, Square Enix announced King's Knight: A Wrath of the Dark Dragon, another spin-off Final Fantasy title. The game pays homage to a 30-year-old NES game from Square called King's Knight.
The original NES game is a scrolling shooter that released back in 1989, and featured scores by Nobuo Uematsu, the renowned Final Fantasy composer. The mobile title will be a blend of similar scrolling shooter mechanics and action RPG elements. The free-to-play game will feature multiplayer for up to 4 players. In the trailer below, we see characters from the world of Final Fantasy XV playing the game themselves.
King's Knight: Wrath of the Dark Dragon will release later this year for iOS and Android, though Square Enix hasn't specified whether it will eventually come to North America.
