More Hitman In Square Enix's Sights

Square Enix's release plan for Hitman has evolved from an amorphous free content update structure to clear-cut episodes, but regardless there is a long-term plan for the game and its "seasons."
In a reply to a fan's tweet to the series' official Twitter account about what's next after the current slate of seven episodes runs its course, the answer is that there are three overall seasons planned.
@bergf89 Of course, our plan is to have three seasons. Although Season Two hasn't been confirmed yet.

The next episode in this first season is set in Bangkok, and it comes out on August 16 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A disc version with all the episodes is slated for release in January 2017.

Our Take
Given that the full-priced Hitman released this spring as part of season one specifically encompassed seven episodes, it stands to reason that to play the second season would also require fans to re-up and either buy a new $59.99 base game for all of next season's episodes or get another $14.99 Intro pack that would house each episode in an a la carte format. That Square Enix is contemplating continuing this episodic format at all, is another matter.
