Outland And Gunstar Heroes Now Available As Xbox One Backward Compatible Games

by Mike Futter on Apr 06, 2016 at 07:21 AM

Microsoft has added two more to the backward compatibility roster. A pair of digital-only games can now be brought into the current generation.

First up is the color-bending Outland (our review). The 2D platformer requires players to change colors to pass through red and blue obstacles and projectiles. A cooperative mode adds challenges and depth.

Also available today is Gunstar Heroes, which began its life as a Sega Genesis title. Developed by Treasure, this is a side-scrolling run-n-gun.

If you don’t have them already, you can purchase them on Xbox 360, the Xbox.com website, or via your Xbox One console. If you do already own them, you should see the games pop up in your library.
