Square Enix Celebrates David Bowie’s Life With Free Omikron: The Nomad Soul

by Mike Futter on Jan 15, 2016 at 04:40 AM

Yesterday, we shared with you David Cage’s touching story of how he came to work with David Bowie on Omikron: The Nomad Soul. If you haven’t yet played it, now is your best opportunity.

Square Enix has announced that for a limited time it will be giving away the game via its storefront. It costs $9.99 regularly, but by entering the code “Omikron” at checkout, you can get it gratis.

It comes in the form of a Steam key, so you'll need an account with Valve's service. If you want to see us put it through its paces, we featured the game on Replay in 2013.

Update: It seems that the Square Enix store is temporarily out of Steam codes to distribute. We've reached out to the publisher to find out when they might be replenished and how long the offer will last. We'll update should we receive a response.

Update 2: Square Enix tells us that codes should be replenished shortly. This deal lasts until January 22, though the publisher does suggest that supplies are limited. You might want to keep an eye on the store page.
