Minecraft Mashup Gets Free Halo 5 Update This Friday

With Halo 5: Guardians right around the corner, Microsoft hasn’t forgotten about one bit of fan service. Back in May 2014 (before it was owned by Microsoft), Mojang and 4J released a mashup pack bringing together Minecraft and Halo.

Later this week, that inexpensive DLC is getting a free update. The $3.99 pack is getting eight new skins representing Blue Team and Fireteam Osiris. You’ll get:

Blue Team:

Spartan-117 The Master Chief
Spartan-104 Fredric
Spartan-087 Kelly
Spartan-058 Linda

Fireteam Osiris:

Spartan Locke
Spartan Buck
Spartan Tanaka
Spartan Vale

The Halo Mashup Pack comes with Halo textures, a themed interface, Halo-themed items you can craft, and more than 30 music tracks. There are also 40 additional skins, including Cortana, The Arbiter, 343 Guilty Spark, and more.
