PSN Retro Sale Marks Down Collection Of Games Ambiguously Defined As Retro
It's unclear exactly what makes a game retro in this sale, but it doesn't really matter, because there's no reason to complain about discounts.
Some of the inclusions, I get. The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (marked down to $14.49), The Escapists ($13.99), TowerFall Ascension ($6.00), and Retro City Rampage DX ($5.00) all have a retro look to them, so even though they're fairly new releases, I get why they would be considered "retro". But then there are games like Trials Fusion (marked down to $10.00), Tower of Guns ($8.99), and perhaps most confusing, Beyond: Two Souls ($8.00). These games don't look old, or even have old-school mechanics. The last of those released in 2013, and competes graphically with new-gen games.
The list is long with almost 90 games, and some of the discounts are better than others (Binding of Isaac above, for example, is only discounted by $0.50), but it's definitely worth a look, even if you don't care for retro games. You can find the full list of games here.
