Time Magazine's Latest Cover Is Not Doing VR Any Favors

Palmer Luckey, founder of Oculus VR and inventor of the headset, appears on the cover of this week's issue of Time magazine. It's exciting for Oculus to be featured predominantly on such a widely read hard news publication, but as the image below will attest, it may not be a win for VR or its founder.

I personally don't think of running and leaping barefoot along a photoshopped beach when I consider the future of VR, or my past experiences, but it seems Time does. Maybe I'm approaching this new form of entertainment media incorrectly. Maybe we all are! Or maybe just Time is.
