Trailer Proves That Final Fantasy VII Remake Is Finally Real

After years of questions and pleading from fans, Square Enix and Sony have finally made good on a tease to remake a classic. Ten years after a technical demo of Final Fantasy VII was shown on PS3 at E3 2005, the companies have confirmed that a true remake is actually in development.

The trailer, which you can see below, shows new visions for the city of Midgar and the game's unique world.

Sony confirmed that the title will be available first on PS4 (though not necessarily exclusive), though no specific release window was given.
