You’ll Have Another Chance To Try Out Splatoon Before It Launches
Did you miss the Splatoon Global Testfire last week? Are you upset that you didn’t get to make an inky mess with your friends? Good news! You have another chance.
Nintendo has announced that it’s running another event next week. If you’re interested in playing in the next session, you’ll want to download the software from the eShop.
You’ll be able to play on Saturday, May 23, for an hour starting at 3 p.m. Pacific / 6 p.m. Eastern. Splatoon will be out on May 29 for Wii U.
For more, check out the archive of the recent Splatoon-focused Nintendo Direct. You can also check out some multiplayer gameplay in our Test Chamber.
Our Take
Whether you consider this a demo or a beta test, Nintendo is making a smart decision load-testing its servers before launching Splatoon. The game looks charming, but I’m not sold on not being able to coordinate with my friends.
