Don’t Expect Titanfall 2 Until After April 1, 2016

During its year-end earnings call, EA addressed a question about the next Titanfall title. If you want to return to Respawn’s universe, you’ll be waiting at least until 2016.

When asked about whether the title might land in the current fiscal year (ending March 31, 2015), EA suggested a later release. "In terms of Titanfall, you should expect that's not in fiscal 16," said EA chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen. "It's more likely in fiscal 17."

Our Take
It’s no surprise that Respawn is taking its time with Titanfall 2. The first game had some great concepts, but was criticized for being exclusively multiplayer. Whether that will change in the future, is something we probably won’t have an answer to for a while.
