Amiibo Tap Shown Off, Free Downloadable Game Uses Amiibos To Play Demos

In the Nintendo Direct today, Nintendo announced a new free game called Amiibo Tap. Once downloaded you tap your amiibos to the gamepad in order to play demos or key scenes from Nintendo games sort of like the Masterpieces in Super Smash Bros.

By tapping the same amiibo again you can cycle between scenes. In an odd twist you can't control what game you get a demo of just because you have a certain character. The example shown was a Mario Amiibo granting either the demos for the original Super Mario Bros or Super Mario World. You can expect Amiibo Tap to be available this spring.
