Gameblend has created a new mobile game based on the beloved '80 film The Princess Bride.

The game uses simple touch mechanics to recreate a number of iconic sequences from the movie, including the famous sword fight between Wesley (as the Dread Pirate Roberts) and Inigo Montoya, the Cliffs of Insanity, and the Shrieking Eels.

As you complete the game, you'll be able to unlock images and clips from the original 1987 film. The game's score was composed by another '80s notable, guitarist Mars Williams of The Psychedelic Furs.

You can purchase The Princess Bride - The Official Game at the App Store for $3.99.

Our Take
This was a favorite of mine growing up, and while the game doesn't look very creative, I might check this out for nostalgia's sake.
