Metal Gear Solid 4 Gets Digital Release On PS3

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain comes out next year, and what better way to catch up with the series than playing MGS 4: Guns of the Patriots on the PS3. Today Konami has announced that MGS 4 will be available digitally for the first time on the PS3 via PSN.

The game will be released on PSN on December 16 for $19.99. The game will not come with Metal Gear Online like the original release, as the title was shut down in 2012.

Our Take
I loved this game when it came out, and I bet it still stands up today. It's too bad this digital version doesn't bundle in the MGS 4 Database, which is a valuable lore resource. You can still download it at no charge from PSN, however.
