PSA: Space Engineers Free Steam Weekend Underway Now

You might recall from our Gamescom coverage that Keen Software’s Space Engineers is headed to Xbox One (probably in 2015). If you’re interested and want to give the space sandbox title a try now, this weekend is the perfect opportunity.

Keen has announced a free Steam weekend for the game that runs through Sunday, October 12 at 1 p.m. Pacific. The title is also discounted 40 percent and can be purchased for $11.99.

Note that the game is still in Early Access, so you’d be purchasing an unfinished game. If you’re waiting for it to hit consoles, Microsoft has a 12-month deal before it will make its way to PlayStation 4 and/or Wii U.
