Reader Discussion: Let’s Chat About Season Passes
Just a little while ago, Warner Bros. and Monolith announced a season pass for Middle-earth: Shadows of Mordor. If you haven’t yet read that story, it might be worth checking it out for context.
Since the advent of the season pass, we’ve seen the concept applied in different ways. L.A. Noire added new cases (story missions), Mortal Kombat introduced four new characters at a discounted price, and more recently, we’ve seen the bundling of story and multiplayer content with cosmetics to round out experiences.
Some of the season passes have delivered solid value. Others have been criticized for protracted development and delivery or simply underwhelming content.
We want to take your pulse on season passes. Do you buy them? If so, at what point do you usually buy? Which season passes have been most satisfying for you? Are there any that you regret purchasing?
