Sakaguchi Headed To Pax To Discuss Terra Battle

The creator of the Final Fantasy series has a new project in the works at Mistwalker, and he’s bringing details about the game to PAX Prime. Terra Batttle is currently in development as a mobile-based role-playing game. The story follows a team of heroes journeying to the center of their own world in pursuit of a mysterious entity called The Maker.

Terra Battle is headed towards release on iOS and Android by October, and is planned as a free-to-play title with in-app purchase options. 

Hironobu Sakaguchi’s PAX panel will run at August 29 at 2:30pm in the Hedgehog theater. In addition to discussing Mistwalker’s new game, Sakaguchi will also talk about his history in the role-playing development world. 

Our Take
I’m reserving judgment on Terra Battle until I know more about how the in-app purchases affect gameplay. However, regardless of details about his new game, it’s exciting that Sakaguchi will be present at PAX to discuss his own work and legacy.
