Super Mario Kart Now Available On Wii U eShop
If you own a Wii U, it's fairly likely that you've not only played Mario Kart 8, but loved it, too. Today, you can return to the series' roots and download the original Super Mario Kart, available on the Wii U eShop.
For $7.99, you can download this SNES classic and play it on your TV or on the GamePad screen. We ranked Super Mario Kart third best among all the Mario Kart titles, behind GameCube's Double Dash and the most recent Wii U iteration.

Our Take
While we consider Mario Kart 8 to be the pinnacle of the series, the first entry in the series is still just as much fun today as it was over 20 years ago. Sure, the stable of playable characters may be smaller than recent versions, and you can only play with two players rather than four, but we think this one is worth revisiting.
