New Releases This Week: July 27 - August 2

Like an oasis in the sand, this week rises from the summer desert to fill our cups and quench our thirst. Sure, it may be heavy on the ports and remakes, but if you’re one of the people who didn’t get a chance to play one of these gems, you’re in luck.

The headliner this week is clearly The Last of Us Remastered Edition, but there are a lot of great reasons to pick up a controller (or keyboard and mouse).

I’ll take the opportunity to endorse The Room again, as it continues to be the standout title for my iPad. If you’ve not played it on a mobile device and enjoy atmospheric puzzle titles, check it out.

If you’re a PlayStation owner, Rogue Legacy makes the jump from PC to all three of Sony’s consoles. It’s a wickedly challenging game with a smart sense of humor and a penchant for killing you and your descendants.
