See The First Halo: Nightfall Live Action Trailer

Halo: Nightfall, the live action series that will launch alongside Halo: The Master Chief Collection has its first trailer. The video and details were revealed at San Diego Comic Con today.

Nightfall takes place in between Halo 4 and next year’s Halo 5: Guardians on the colony world of Sedra. There, a terrorist attack catches Agent Jameson Locke and his team off guard. 

Nightfall is an origin story for Locke, who will play an important role in Halo 5: Guardians. For more on the character and actor Mike Colter, check out our previous coverage.

Halo: Nightfall is one of the few projects that will see completion following Microsoft's decision to close Xbox Entertainment Studios. For more on that story, click here.

Our Take
I’ve always been captivated more by the Halo lore outside of the games than what’s been included in them. There’s a rich universe there, and hopefully Nightfall encourages people to explore more of it.
