Anyone Can Be A Pro Gamer At This Year's San Diego Comic-Con

by Dimitri Gedevanishvili on Jul 11, 2014 at 10:58 AM

From Friday July 24 to Sunday July 27, Comic-Con patrons will be able to play on the Major League Gaming main stage. Titanfall, Forza Motorsport 5, and Killer Instinct will be taking center stage at the convention and can be played by anyone with a badge.

The games will be streamed on MLG.tv, the company's proprietary streaming service, and will feature commentary from professional MLG commentator Chris Puckett. Forza and Titanfall will be playable on Friday and Saturday while Killer Instinct will come up on Sunday.

Major League Gaming is an organization that hosts professional video game tournaments across North America. The most recent MLG tournaments have focused on Call of Duty: Ghosts, but previous competitions this year have included StarCraft 2, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Dota 2, and more. Everyone has opinions on competitive gaming. Be sure to read about former intern Shin Hieftje's unique thoughts.

If you'll be at San Diego Comic Con, swing by the Xbox Gaming Lounge for the MLG festivities.

Our Take
I remember watching a lot of MLG back when Halo 3 was the star attraction. Following teams and players playing in one of my favorite games at the time was just as satisfying for me as any non-gaming sport.
