A Lot Of EA Games Are Going Offline Next Month

Earlier today, we reported on how Capcom is handling the shutdown of the Gamespy service. Electronic Arts has also put out an official release, and the online status of many of their games is to be discontinued next month.

Our Take
I feel bad for longtime Battlefield fans that won't be able to play their old favorites anymore, but the real losers here are those of us that will never again experience the thrill of Madden 08 online play on DS. Let's embrace these final weeks and remember the good times.
