Sony Taps Powers Comic For PlayStation 4 Programming Content

Sony's first reported foray into exclusive programming for the PlayStation 4 is a TV series based on the Powers comics.

Sony Pictures Television is producing the show, involving a cop who investigates crimes involving super powers. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it  will "likely" consist of 10 one-hour episodes. Comic series creator Brian Michael Bendis and writer Charlie Huston are involved.

The show was previously in development by the FX network since 2011.

Our Take:
While not overly impressive, Sony's first step seems to be at least targeted at the stereotypical PlayStation audience.
