Following Layoffs, Eidos Montreal Studio Head Cites 'Exciting Times'
Earlier today, we reported on the loss of 27 jobs at Square Enix-owned Eidos Montreal. Just last week, the studio released Thief on last-generation consoles, new-generation hardware, and PC. According to studio head David Anfossi, these are "exciting times."
The comment was made via Twitter and was accompanied by a picture of the entire studio. The remark was made at 3:54 pm Eastern, after a source first came to us to alert us that layoffs were in progress.

Our Take
Even if these sentiments were expressed to the remaining staff (of which there are many), it was an inappropriate comment for a public forum following layoffs. It directly contradicts the solemn nature of Square Enix's official comment. Put simply, it's an example of how not to behave.
