Report: Amazing Spider-Man 2 Sticks A Release Date And Pre-order Bonus
Sony Pictures is currently prepping the release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for theaters this May, but Beenox has been quietly working on a film tie-in that will hit store shelves the week before the film.
Starting on April 29, web-heads everywhere will be able to buy Beenox's next open world adventure starring Spider-Man. The game lets players fight a series of foes from the film as well as the comics and will reportedly give Spider-Man’s nerdy photojournalist alter-ego, Peter Parker, a greater role in the spotlight. A new Hero or Menace system awards players with various trophies based on whether or not they nobly fight crime or let the city fester.
Those who pre-order the game through GameStop will receive four different playable suits including the Iron Spider, cosmic Captain Universe Spider-Man, the Spider-Man: Noir, and black symbiote Spider-Man suit. Check out the promo image below.

Our Take
I love Spider-Man, but some of his games have been sub-par. Beenox has managed to create some of the better Spider-Man games in recent years, however. The fact that the studio has had a two year break since its last game gives me some hope that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 might be good. At least we don't have long to wait to find out.
