Reader Discussion: Are You Excited For PlayStation Now?
Sony's taking a new approach to backwards compatibility with PlayStation Now, a new streaming gaming service that will allow you to play titles from past generations of PlayStation on a variety of devices.
This is the service Sony has been working on since it acquired Gakai and, judging by the announcement today, is pretty ambitious - even promising the ability to stream games like The Last of Us directly to PlayStation Now-compatible tablets and Bravia televisions. However, this will come at a price, either a subscription or one-time rental fee.
What's your opinion of Sony's plans? Are you excited for the future of on-demand gaming? Or, would you rather have traditional, disc-based backwards compatibility that Sony left out of the PS4?
