Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag DLC Not Headed For Wii U
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag players will be able to keep plundering the high seas after the game's releases with downloadable content...unless they're playing on a Wii U.
Earlier this week, Ubisoft detailed the season pass information for the next entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise. Unfortunately, it sounds like Wii U owners will not be able to download any of this extra content. Ubisoft hasn't commented on the reason behind this decision.
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag releases on October 24 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U, and will also be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One when those systems launch.

Our Take
This is unfortunate news for Nintendo and Wii U owners. Nintendo has positioned the Wii U as it's next gen system, but if upcoming games lack some of the benefits that can be found on other systems then that gives consumers less reason to buy Nintendo's console. I really hope Nintendo is able to overturn this decision or give Wii U owners some extra benefit for owning the system.
