Gearbox Teases Borderlands 2 Animated Short Film

Gearbox has an animated short film in the works, and today it offered a teaser image from the project.

The film will be available next week, according to Gearbox's tweet. Earlier this year, Gearbox announced a partnership with The Academy of Art to produce an animated Borderlands short film. It's unclear if this upcoming short is a product of that partnership.

Gearbox produced another animated short to accompany the Krieg the Psycho DLC, which you can see below.

Animated short films are a great way to tell a small isolated story, and Borderlands' art style and universe seem well suited to the medium. I'm curious to see the finished product.
