NHL 14 Pre-Order Goodies Feature Ultimate Team Packs & More

Following the pre-order campaign for FIFA 14, NHL 14 is offering a slew of Ultimate Team packs for those who pre-order game. NHL 14, however, is also giving additional bonuses for the early birds.

Pre-ordering NHL 14 gets you the EA Sports Ultimate Pass, where you get one gold pack for the game's Ultimate Team mode every week for 24 weeks. Given that gold packs are nothing to sneeze at, it will be interesting to see how such an easy dissemination of gold packs will do to the balancing for the mode.

Also, depending on which retailer you pre-order the title from (including EA's Origin downloadable service), you'll get in-game boost equipment from manufacturers like Easton and Warrior. GameStop* is offering an exclusive FatHead sticker sheet as well as two mysterious "bonus offers" to be announced later.
