Ubisoft Bringing Remake Of Prince of Persia 2 To Mobile Devices

Ubisoft is readying a remake of the 1993 Prince of Persia sequel for smartphones and tablets.

Today, Ubisoft released a trailer for the game, entitled Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame. The video actually begins with a brief look at the original 1993 Prince of Persia 2 (this new remake drops the "2" from the title), and then segues into new footage of the mobile game, which is the familiar 2D platforming-and-swordfighting formula, but with dramatically improved visuals.

There is no release date confirmed for the U.S., but the trailer says that its "coming soon to smartphones and tablets," so we should expect both iOS and Android versions, hopefully.
