Gas Powered Games Hit With Company-Wide Layoffs

Dungeon Siege and Supreme Commander developer Gas Powered Games recently got hit by lay offs, but the company says that this should not effect its recent Kickstarter campaign to raise $1.1 million to make an action RPG called Wildman.
The timing for these layoff is all the more unfortunate, because earlier today Gas Powered Game's CEO Chris Taylor released a video update showing off some of the tech behind Wildman.
"These layoffs are substantial, but it's not everyone," Gas Powered Games CEO Chris Taylor told Polygon. "We still have a fully functioning company, IT, HR, Operations, etc. And have retained some key people."
"The studio is still operating, but we had to slim WAY down to conserve cash reserves," Taylor added via Gamasutra.
It really is unfortunate timing, because we've always appreciated Gas Powered's work, and we would have liked to see Wildman succeed. Check out its Kickstarter here. United we are stronger! Til all are one!
