PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Coming To Vita
Update: Trailer added. Sony announced at its E3 press briefing that the upcoming brawler will be landing on the handheld as well as PlayStation 3 -- and that players on the two platforms can battle one another in a single match. Two new contestants were announced for the roster: one obvious, one less so.
Nathan Drake was announced as a new fighter, as was a Big Daddy from BioShock. The two will join the six characters we already knew about: Sly Cooper, Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Fat Princess, PaRappa the Rapper, and some dude from Killzone who I'm told is called Radec.
The live gameplay demo did nothing to dispel the obvious Smash Bros. comparisons, though a charge meter was present that allowed Sweet Tooth to jump into a big robot and quickly purge the screen of his three rivals.
Swing by the site later this week for updated impressions, as it's sure to feature prominently at Sony's booth here in Los Angeles.
