Sonic Co-Creator Joins Nintendo

Hirokazu Yasuhara, one of the original designers on the early Sonic The Hedgehog titles, has joined Nintendo.

Sonic Co-Creator Joins NintendoGamasutra reports Yasuhara left his designer position of Namco Bandai last month. Before then, he spent 6 years at Naughty Dog working on the Jak and Daxter series and 2 years at Visual Concepts working on The Floigan Brothers.

He first joined SEGA in 1988 where he worked alongside Sonic co-creator Yuji Naka. Yasuhara is now working at Nintendo Software Technology, a North American Nintendo subsidiary. It's unclear right now what he's working on.

Game Informer has contacted Nintendo for comment.
