Rumor: Apple Developing Game Controller

Apple may be looking to solve some touch control complaints with a new controller.

A rumor mentioned in an iPad 3 review from Anandtech.com hints one could be coming. "I know of an internal Apple project to bring a physical controller to market, but whether or not it will ever see the light of day remains to be seen," the article said.

Companies such as Apple prototype lots of things that consumers never end up seeing, so this rumor shouldn't come as a complete surprise. A wireless controller could help ease the troubles some people with a touch-only device, though.

For now we'll have to wait and see how this one plays out.
