Sony May Show Off A Video Editor For The PlayStation 3 At CES

Sony may be announcing new video editing software for the PlayStation 3 at the upcoming Consumer Electronic Show called PlayMemories.

Endgadget has some blurry cell phone photos of the software and there is a trademarked PlayMemories Studio facebook page just waiting for some content.

Sony has tried video editing on the console before with EyeCreate. It released in 2007 and allowed you to capture and edit footage with the PlayStation 3's camera. I can't imagine it was very successful. I only barely remember downloading it. I did make a pretty amazing (i.e. terrible) short of myself getting attacked by a plush Half-Life headcrab, though.
