Weekend Warrior 11/18/11
What you think we all finished Skyrim already? Haha, say something else to make us laugh. Not that joke about the Rabbi, the rabbit, and the pianist though, we’ve already heard that one.
Kyle Hilliard: It’s getting cold outside, so it might be time to go do some coat shopping. After midnight Saturday night though, I’m not very optimistic about the possibility of leaving the house. I’ll be hanging out with Link swinging my arms around like a madman. I might also play some Uncharted 3, but so far it hasn’t grabbed me like Uncharted one or two. Super Mario 3D Land might need some attention, too.
Jeff Marchiafava: This weekend I’ll be playing more Skyrim. I’ve been playing a little every night this week, but only playing for an hour or two at a time is like going to a movie and leaving after the opening credits. I look forward to playing for what feels like a couple of hours, then looking at the clock and realizing it’s Tuesday afternoon.
Jim Reilly: This weekend I’m only doing two things: Platinuming Dark Souls and buying a jacket. Not just any jacket, but a jacket that will be able to sustain temperatures dipping below freezing. It’s getting cold here in Minnesota, and while my walk to work is about seven minutes total, that’s still enough time for me to freeze to death if I’m not careful. I have delicate skin. As for Dark Souls, I have three trophies left before attaining my Platinum. I hope to have it wrapped up by Sunday.
Ben Hanson: This weekend I hope to return to the frozen tundra of Skyrim, I haven’t played it in four days and the thought of being apart makes me weak at the knees. I will most likely also continue my obsession with Rayman Origins; please don’t overlook this game during the holiday rush. The co-op is some of the best multiplayer I’ve seen in years and the art, music, and level design are exceptional. There’s also the small matter of finishing Super Mario 3D Land, it is the first game I’ve ever played on my months-old 3DS and I am thoroughly enjoying it. On top of all this – like a rotting cherry – my love for the franchise requires me to explore the new Jurassic Park game. I’m as apprehensive about the game as Robert Muldoon was about breeding velociraptors. Enjoy your weekend!
Tim Turi: Mina is shaping up to be a very capable young mage. The tenacious Dovakin has displayed advanced control over the elements, harnessing fire, ice, and electricity to punish those who stand in her way. Even the most advanced lock mechanisms can’t get between her and her goal, as she’s demonstrated a burgeoning knack for thievery. Not one to rest on her laurels for long, Mina is heading north to Winterhold academy to hone her Magicka talents.
I’ll be playing Skyrim this weekend.
Ben Reeves: I plan on eating and sleeping this weekend, but not because I want to. A good portion of my time will be spent playing Skyrim. Then when Zelda comes out on Sunday, I will split myself in two and try to play both games. Do you see now why I had to rest?
