Trials HD Developer Acquired By Ubisoft

RedLynx, the studio behind the extremely successful Trials HD (and WiiWare's Motoheroz) is independent no longer. As of today, RedLynx is officially a part of Ubisoft.
RedLynx will continue working in the space where it seems most comfortable: online. With popular games on Xbox Live, PSN, WiiWare, and iOS, it looks like the studio will keep doing digital download titles. Don't expect to see RedLynx as one of the dozen Ubisoft studios that are probably working on the next Assassin's Creed installment.
In the press release announcing the acquisition, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot is quoted as saying, "The team at RedLynx has developed exceptionally strong digital brands that stand out for their high replay value, their long tail sales and their multiplatform positioning. We are delighted to welcome RedLynx to the Ubisoft family."
In case you don't speak Businessman, that means "We think RedLynx is going to make us a lot of money."
