Dark Souls Ships 1.5 Million

Namco Bandai and From Software announced Dark Souls has shipped 1.5 million copies worldwide since its release. According to Andriasang, the publisher and developer offered a breakdown of sales for each region.

- Japan: Released on 9/22, 370,000 shipped

- North America: Released on 10/4, 620,000 shipped

- Europe: Released on 10/7, 470,000 shipped

- Asia: Released on 10/18, 40,000 shipped

Dark Souls was released only on PlayStation 3 in Japan and published by From Software. It was published by Namco Bandai on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 everywhere else.
