Musician Wavves Is Working On A Video Game
Anyone who has listened to Wavves' slacker rock is not completely surprised by this.
Wavves Nathan Williams is known to give shout-outs to gaming in his songs and now he's making one that looks like a psychedelic take on Paperboy. Williams tweeted the screen above with the caveat that it's very early.
"All I can say for now is we are in the early stages of building levels and characters," he said to Pitchfork. "The premise is sort of a nightmare and the majority of the game will play like [the 1984 Atari game] Paperboy on acid or early Simpsons NES titles... and remember in the original Paperboy you get chased by zombies, tornadoes, and death so this s*** gets pretty wild."
No word yet on the platform, but it's looking like an in-browser Flash-style game at this point to me.
As you can see in this video for "King of the Beach," this dude owns a PlayStation 3.
