Parappa Creator Would Consider A Vita Return For The Series

by Dan Ryckert on Sep 27, 2011 at 12:45 PM

Speaking with Joystiq, Parappa the Rapper creator Masaya Matsuura mentioned that we may not have seen the last of the awesome rapping dog. Instead of coming back via another console entry, however, it might take Vita or a new business model to make it happen.

After Matsuura stated that there's a "good chance" that Vita would be the way to go, NanaOn-Sha director of development Dewi Tanner elaborated on the possibility of a new business model. "How people pay for games has changed compared to 15 years ago. We're not sure that people would be willing to pay $50 for something with 5, 6 stages," said Tanner. "I'm not sure a 20-hour Parappa experience would be that fun. It would take us like 30 years to make."

Take as long as you want, guys. As long as I eventually see more awesome songs like the ones below, I'm happy.
